Privacy policy

DM Compared sets no cookies and runs no analytics. There are no advertising trackers either, and nothing on the site follows you from page to page or from one visit to the next.
What the site loads
Every file a page needs, from fonts to scripts, comes from our own server. Opening a page sends no request to any third party, including Google and Meta.
The site uses two small scripts. One sorts tables when you click a column heading. The other runs the cost calculator in your browser. Neither one stores or sends what you type.
Server logs
Like most web servers, the server that hosts this site keeps standard logs of the pages it serves. A log entry holds:
- your IP address
- your browser type
- the page you asked for and the time
These logs are used to keep the site running and secure. We do not use them to build profiles of visitors or combine them with other data.
Email
If you email us, we keep your message and your address so we can reply. We do not add you to a mailing list or share your address. Ask us and we will delete your messages.
Links to other sites
Links to vendors open their own websites, which have their own privacy policies. When we earn from a link, as explained on the disclosure page, the vendor’s site may set its own cookie to record that you came from us. That cookie belongs to the vendor, not to DM Compared.

If we add analytics later, we will update this page first and say what is collected. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, email zhe@dmcompared.com (opens in a new tab).
